YEAH, WE'RE 5-0!!!

Things are just getting better by the weekend. Our team won again today!! We score 5 Touchdowns!!! That's great for a team who was 0-5 a year ago!!! Hubby's team didn't fair as well. They were beat 13-6. The closests they have been, and we are extremely proud of the boys!! They played their heart out!
There were many BAD calls today. The referees were horrible. They even threw out a parent b/c they were being told just how horrible of a game they were calling. It was quite sad.

Anyway, this weekend is when the ghosts and gobblins come out. Lil one is going as a football player. Fitting I know!! HEHEHE!!

Have a ghostly great weekend!

IT'S FOOTBALL TIME!!!

HELLO ALL! It's Saturday and my football team is 4-0. The team I coach that is. I coach cheerleaders for the local youth league. Our team played this morning and won again!!! We are excited b/c last year they only scored one Touchdown and this year we have increased that by 7! It's a great feeling for my girls as well as the boys who are working really hard!

Anyway, the birthday was ho hum. Only a handful of people remembered. All my friends from back home forgot. I was kinda bummed! Not one card from any of them. Also my father-in-law forgot again! ugh!! At least my loving lil sis and family remembered me. Last night, darling hubby took me out to dinner just on our own. The first time in almost a year!! One of his friends watched our lil one for us! We had a quiet meal!! It was yummy too!

I just hope the team I root for in college (GO VOLS!!!), and my Browns win this weekend!!

CHEERS!

I'm Lovin' it!!

Today is the day before the big day. I will be turning the big 35. I don't know how to really feel. I do know that I feel like a 4 ton horse is sitting on my chest. My school is sooo darn cold that it feels like the inside of my fridge while I am teaching. I just want to get warm daily. My poor kiddos.

My lil one is doing better about going to bed and staying in his room!! YEAH!!!! I am soooo happy (doing happy dance). And to think, I was getting ready to ship him to his Auntie DG. I know he would keep her in line. lol... Oh I meant, she would keep him inline! ROFL!!

I also found out today from a substitute teacher that she is my substitue on Thursday. I looked at her like she lost her mind. Come to find out I have a meeting and I will be needing her services. Gotta love the communitcation in a school system. UGH!

Have a great week folks!

Hurricane Rita strikes again!

Well, thanks to Rita we now have to extend our school day by 11 minutes for the next 5 months and lose 10 minutes off our lunch and recess. These kids don't get enough time to play as it is let alone eat. We have enough time in our day to make up for "time missed", but other schools don't. Ugh! A lot of parents, teachers, and staff are really hot under the collars about this. I don't blame them either. The funny thing is we have calamity days built into our schedule, but they won't forgive them just in case we have another hurricane or if an ice storm blows through these parts. (what if??) That's BS.

Anyway, this Saturday we have not 1 but 2 tackle football games to cheer/ play. Craziness I am telling ya!

I hope others weekends will be better than mine!

This is me....

You Are A: Lamb!Peaceful and gentle, lambs have been used in religious imagery for millennia. Lambs are baby sheep, an animal tended by shephards since the dawn of history. As a lamb, you tend to stay together in a flock and graze on grassy land. Lambs don't mind being led and tend not to go off on their own.
You were almost a: Pony or a KittenYou are least like a: Frog or a Mouse

At least I wasn't a monkey!!!!!

Football league gone bad

I can't believe I am dealing with some people who are really dense when it comes to running a football league. It is a very long story, and I won't bore you with the details. The previous league President has really ticked off parents, coaches and the like. I can't believe he has said that "it's for the k ids", yet we haven't started our season yet. Yes, check your calendars! It's October 7th and our season starts tomorrow.

That is totally wrong. Hubby and I are both scratching our heads and trying to keep our teams together. It has been very hard, but we're getting it done! Now, we have a new league board who is really working hard at putting things in motion. FINALLY!!! Just wish our teams luck. Our team's name is The Cowboys.

On a lighter note, we now have a schedule and we're giong to let the hitting begin!!
Gotta love the game!

The first thing to know...

The first thing to know about surviving a hurricane is to buy a darn generator. That one item could have helped all of us get along so much better. Between being hot and miserable, we lost all of our frozen foods and refridgerator items. This really stunk up the place (and I am not being facisious). The next thing to have is a over supply of batteries for the radio, flashlights, and a battery powered fan if possible. That is necessary if you can't find a generator in your price range. Thirdly, you need to really really like a cold shower! This was torture at times. I really wanted some warm water for washing. Lastly, get to know your neighbors really well so that all of you can hang out, eat, and watch each others children.

** by the way, also remember to drink, drink, and drink more water and Gatorade. Don't become dehydrated like I did!!
